GETTING YOURSELF RIGHT - PART 1 of 18
Before you can control others and achieve the outcomes you want, you need to first get yourself right.
PART 1 of 18, DEALS with TAKING ACTION.
KIS - Keep it simple No EGO - Squash it Truth - listen to your gut and heart not your head
Ask yourself how I can contribute to the other person
2 things that can change your life
Consistency – Taking daily action, looking at your strategies making sure they work.
1 Conditioning – Repetition is the mother of skill. This is how you find out what works for you. 2 Then you condition it in. Conditioning is important because it’s how you lock stuff in. Make it habitual so there is less opportunity of it failing.
Most people will over estimate what they can achieve in 1 year and will underestimate what they can achieve in 5 years.
Don’t hope, take daily action.
You will need to study exactly what you want. If you want to become healthy you will need to study health. Find role models who have already achieved what you want to achieve.
How to find a role model.
1 Find the person that has your results. 2 Understand what they are doing. You need to question them in a certain way, they language they use, how the hold their body etc. Elicit their strategies. 3 Model them or copy them.
Do not get caught up in daily life or you will not achieve what you want. You need to consistently take daily action.
1 Action is power – the more action you take the more power you create. When you start to build power you start to create that confidence which allows you to build momentum. 2 Action is learning – the more action you take the more knowledge you gain. It’s the stop box. It stops you from doing many things. 3 Action is moving into uncertainty – there are 2 things we can be driven by out of our 6 human needs. A place of certainty and uncertainty. The people who aren’t taking action are staying in that place of certainty. Where you want to go is to a place of you don’t know what you don’t know. You want to move from a place of certainty to uncertainty. The more you seek out uncertainty the more you will learn. The bigger the risk the bigger the reward. 4 Action is force – you have to take action to create force to attract things into your life. Attraction is more than just thinking, you have to take action also. 5 Action is creating – the more action you take the more you start to create. 6 Action is belief – taking action is going to help you create belief which will mould your beliefs. When your mind is idle, this is when your brain will start to question what you are capable of. 7 Action is making a decision – Once you take action you know you have made a decision. When you make a decision you are forced to take action. Start making decisions about some of the things you are not taking action on.
To become more fulfilled in life you have to become more than what you currently are. This is all about learning and growing.
The ultimate success formula
1 Know your outcome – clarity is power. Your outcome allows you take action. It gives you focus a place where you want to go. Focus is so powerful. Focus on learning, taking action. You need to understand the WHY in your outcome. Stack as many whys as possible against each outcome. 2 Create desire – need to be able to create this through goal posters. You are training the mind subliminally, or type them out on your computer and stick them next to your goal poster. In the front page of your success journal stick your goals there. 3 Take MASSIVE action 4 Understand the results you are receiving from your actions – you need to have acute senses to the results you are receiving from your actions. This ensures that you arrive where you want to. 5 Change your approach – this is where if you’re not getting the results you want, you need to change your approach.
PART 2 of 18, PAIN Vs PLEASURE and the NEED to AVOID it.
Pain and pleasure – the need to avoid pain and the need to gain pleasure. Often people avoid taking action because they associate pain with the action, rather than focusing on the pleasure of taking that action.
The brain will instinctively do anything to avoid pain.
What do you link to working? Freedom, money, lifestyle, pleasure, time, especially FREEDOM, charity. I am driven more towards pleasure.
Consider what other people link pain and pleasure towards. By doing this you can begin to make them think differently and behave differently.
Consider within yourself what you link pain and pleasure towards to change a negative result you may be experiencing.
Use pain and pleasure to sell your products to other people.
The place of no resistance is the place where your brain says I’ve had enough; and you start to get leverage on yourself. All you’ve done is you’ve finally decided to focus on the pain and you’ve decided to change it.
The place of no resistance is very powerful because it’s where you are using focus to take action. You are focusing on what you’ve had enough of.
Use focus to move you, if you’re not taking action or you’re not making changes to take action, focus on all of the pain that will happen if you don’t change or take action.
Sea Saw Metaphor
You’ve got pain on one side and pleasure on the other. If you’re not taking action what can happen is the sea saw can become unbalanced. Then all of a sudden it’s weighing down the pain side and that’s where the brain is saying that’s it I’ve had enough. What we’ve got to be able to do is to manage this to bring it back into balance. We do this by changing focus.
If you want to change your position of self-control, balance, wealth etc, you must change what you link pain and pleasure to.
Ask yourself this question: What will it cost you if you don’t follow through and take action?
We need to condition this in daily.
We will do more to avoid pain than to experience pleasure.
